Blog #3
Author Discussion Post!
Hello there! This week has a special kind of post that doesn't necessarily focus on the book. I thought it would be nicer to research about the author and tell facts about maybe other books they have written, or even just fun facts about them in general! I was absent for a fair amount of time last week, so it made me unable to work on this blog post on time, so perhaps it was a good idea to make this more simple this time around! Considering I also have to work on the actual blog post for this week I'm making this more short and simple. I hope you enjoy!
The author of the book goes by the name of M. Verano, I'm not sure if that's a pseudonym or not because there seems to not be quite much information on the author themselves. They are the author of the series Diary of a Haunting, which is one of the books I am reading. There seems to be four books in the series with each of them focusing on a different form of horror and hauntings. The one I am reading, is number two in the series. So far, with the book I am reading, the books start off fairly slow at first, but will hopefully get more creepier. I really hope this book will get more scary because for a horror book so far, this isn't that scary. I guess the images are slightly scary but not enough to give me genuinely something to fear and be afraid about.
Getting back on topic of the author, it is said that he's been looking for paranormal activity for all of his career. He is an associates professor in history and he's mostly focused on magical and occult societies, which I take it is what inspires his books. Each book he writes, focuses on a young girl where paranormal things happen to her. They are all written as a journal entry/blog post where they captivate their experiences. The first book the author released was in 2015, for the Diary of a Haunting series.
That's basically all the information I can find on the author, considering this series may not be the most popular horror franchise, there will most like not be a lot of information on the author themselves. But I hope you enjoyed the writing for today and I'll check in later this week as well! Byeeee!
P.S. I don't really know a photo to add for this post, sorry!
